Welcome to the Joey Club — a fun, hands-on conservation community created by Queensland Koala Crusaders especially for kids who want to help protect koalas and their habitats.
When kids join as Joey Club members, they receive an instant digital welcome pack filled with exciting goodies to kick-start their conservation journey. Each new Joey gets a personalised certificate, unique member number, koala facts, activity sheets, a starter quest, and a “You’re Helping Koalas” impact page. But that’s just the beginning.
Every month, Joeys receive a brand-new Koala Quest — a simple, fun challenge designed to inspire real-world action for wildlife. Quests might include spotting koala habitat trees, teaching someone a koala fact, planting native species, safely collecting litter, or designing a dream koala habitat. Activities are created for a range of ages, with families encouraged to join in and help younger Joeys complete their missions.
Throughout the year, members can share their progress and celebrate their achievements, building confidence, knowledge, and a lifelong connection to nature. At year’s end, we host a special Most Impactful Joey Club Member Celebration, recognising every Joey’s efforts and awarding prizes to the top three mission champions.
Joey Club is designed to be more than a one-time activity — it’s an ongoing adventure in conservation. Members also receive early notice of special events, invitations to exclusive koala workshops, and future access to a member portal where they can upload photos of their quests and track their impact using their unique member number.
Our goal is simple: make conservation fun, empowering, and achievable — so kids can see that even small actions can make a big difference for koalas.
